Sierra Environmental Drilling, LLC., created in 2024, is a small business located in St. Albans, Vermont that is owned and operated by Sam Driver, a licensed driller in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York and Massachusetts as well as a Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP).

A 2008 Middlebury College graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Science, Sam has always been drawn to the outdoors and science community. In addition to his college education, Sam has over 10 years of experience as a senior project manager in environmental consulting throughout Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.

Sam has completed numerous Phase I, Phase II, site investigations, hydrological investigations and the design, implementation and operation of several remedial systems. As an environmental consultant, his experiences in the field allowed him to explore the drilling industry and has over 7 years of operating drill rigs.

About Sam Driver

Sam resides in his hometown of Georgia, Vermont with his wife, Karah, and three children, Isla, Ethan and Avery. A former Middlebury College hockey player (05’ and 06’ National Champion), Sam now coaches youth hockey, among other sports. In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and skiing with his family.
